Acknowledging and Addressing the Emotional Side Effects of Cancer

Emotional Restoration for Lives Impacted by Cancer

Presented by Adventure Therapy Foundation

We're so happy you found this place,

WELCOME

As the founder of Adventure Therapy Foundation, I have listened to 100’s of stories from the cancer community.  It doesn’t matter if a patient was diagnosed yesterday or is a 40-year survivor; we each carry a deep emotional burden from the experience of cancer.

I have good news for you: cancer doesn’t have to be defined by the pain it causes! An opportunity is waiting for you under these burdens. Through the trauma of cancer, you have cultivated significant strength and purpose. This new level of resilience is a gift waiting for you, but you must do the work of healing from the emotional side effects of cancer to access it.

RISE is a place where you can begin to gain clarity, feel known, and define a clear future.

I genuinely believe this platform will change your life.
It will change the very experience of cancer.

Lean in. Learn. Grow. Repeat.
This is what you have been waiting for.

Restoration made easy and accessible.

The Impact of RISE

It is NORMAL to experience isolation, fear, and a broken identity AFTER treatments.
The emotional side effects of cancer are a TYPICAL response to cancer.

While the physical side effects of treatments are clearly defined, the emotional response to cancer has not been articulated. Patients and survivors must navigate their emotional health alone.  This gap in services causes compounding emotional side effects and slows recovery.

RISE defines the emotional response to cancer and provides a path for survivors to walk together. We predict RISE will reduce the emotional recovery of cancer from five years to two.

Early survivorship can be the most challenging season of the cancer experience.
RISE provides those impacted by cancer the resources needed to shift mindsets away from fear and toward a legacy-driven perspective.
